Plane
Your journey typically begins with a flight to our neighboring island, St. Thomas (USVI). With multiple daily non-stops from the U.S. Midwest and East Coast, St. Thomas (STT) is easy to get to via most major US airlines.
Coming from Europe? Several airlines offer Carribbean flights. Local flights are also available to other major Carribean hubs.
Ferry
Getting to St. John from St. Thomas requires a quick ferry ride across Pillsbury Sound. Several local ferry companies offer daily service from downtown Charlotte Amalie, only 5 minutes from the airport (via taxi), or from Red Hook 30 min from the airport (via taxi). See link below for up to date information. Keep in mind, schedules are seasonal and do change regularly.
Taxi / Car Rental
Once you arrive in Cruz Bay, St. John, you will have two main options to get to Twighlight Villa at the “The Hills”. If you arrive by Ferry, there will be many taxi operators waiting at the ferry terminal in Cruz Bay. Tell them you wish go to “The Hills”, they will know where this is.
Another option is car rental. There are many different rental companies on the island, but be aware, driving in the USVI is not for the faint of heart, as in many historic UK colonies , cars drive on the left side of the road and hills in St. John can be a bit tricky (i.e. steep and curvy). But if you want freedom and have a sense for adventure, this may be a good route.
